Malcolm St John has been appointed Non-Executive Director of ReAPS Asset Management Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of APS Bank plc active in fund and investment management services. He fills the seat vacated by Martin Scicluna, who last year took over the chairmanship of APS Bank.
Malcolm is a chartered certified accountant, backed with a 22-year career in the financial services industry. These include HSBC Bank Malta plc (1999-2008) followed by Apex Fund Services (2008-2016), taking on successively more senior responsibilities such as Client Services Director and Head of Compliance and Internal Audit. Since 2016, Malcolm was involved in the formation and leadership of Mainstream Fund Services (Malta) Limited as Country Manager, before moving on to other C-suite positions at System73 Limited and more recently to Roivios Limited.
Marcel Cassar, Chair of ReAPS and APS Bank CEO, commented: “We welcome Malcolm to ReAPS, strengthening further the non-executive, independent compliment of our Board presently made up of Elizabeth Carbonaro and Bilal Hafeez. I am confident that his experience and solid professional credentials will be of benefit to the APS Bank Group’s ambitions in this area of investment services.”
