APS Bank Townhall: building a stronger future together

On 22 November 2024, APS Bank hosted its second Townhall of the year at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Qawra. Hundreds of staff filled up The Oracle Conference Centre for an engaging afternoon of updates, networking and recognition.

The event kicked off with two inspiring testimonials from colleagues who shared their journeys, work-life stories, and aspirations. They were followed by presentations from the Digitisation & Documentation Management and Cash Operations Units, along with a video and walk-through of ReAPS Asset Management, the Bank’s asset management subsidiary.

Attendees participated in an interactive quiz about the Bank’s 2024 products and finance milestones, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “Banking vs Regulation: The Clash of the Titans”, which underscored the power of collaboration across departments, to achieve sustainable success.

The Townhall also showcased key projects in the Bank’s project roadmap. Five employees were awarded for their exemplary demonstration of the Bank’s values, while 22 colleagues were recognised for their academic achievements during a Qualifications Ceremony.

Animated videos captured highlights from the year, featuring events organised by the Bank’s Social Activities and Sports Committees and various activities and initiatives delivered by the Voice of the Customer, Career Development, Brand & Marketing, CSR and Corporate Culture Change Management units. The day concluded with the heartwarming premiere of APS Bank’s 2024 Christmas campaign.

CEO Marcel Cassar commented: “Our Townhall is always an opportunity to communicate, appreciate and celebrate all those who make the wheels of APS Bank and Group turn, day in, day out. It is also an occasion to reaffirm our commitment to looking after our customers and stakeholders, to value one another and to embrace our culture.”
