APS Bank recently supported a series of workshops organised by the Mental Health Association, aimed at improving understanding of mental health and neurodiversity.

The Mental Health Association is a local NGO that works to empower carers of people living with mental illness through education and advocacy. The six-part workshop series tackled important and often overlooked connections between mental health and neurodiversity, helping participants gain practical tools and knowledge.

Topics included the relationship between mental health and autism, ADHD, nutrition, neurodiversity, and hearing loss. Sessions were led by experts including Dr Petra Jones, Pamela Muscat, Lou Ghirlando, Dr Louis John Camilleri, and Dr Pauline Sultana Miggiani. Each session aimed to support carers with evidence-based approaches and foster a more inclusive understanding of mental well-being.

Jeremy Vassallo, CSR Manager at APS Bank, commented: “At APS Bank, we recognise the challenges faced by carers and the need for accessible, informed support. We are proud to back initiatives that not only educate but also build empathy and resilience in our communities.”
