APS Bank plc is supporting the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), an association that contributes to the advancement of humankind through technology and engineering among other things.
Lydin Camilleri, Lead Test Automation Engineer at APS Bank, represented IEEE Malta Section and the Bank in the IEEE Region 8 Student and Young Professionals Congress, which was held in Tunisia last August. He chaired the IEEE Malta Student Branch network and participated in workshops, plenary and networking sessions. The congress focused on thematic topics related to technology, engineering, energy, science and entrepreneurship.
Lydin will be leading the University of Malta team in the IEEE R8 Robot Championship, being supported by the Bank next December. This event promotes science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) communication, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork among IEEE members.
