Following the success of previous editions, APS Bank proudly presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s iconic work, Requiem in D minor, happening on Tuesday 15 April 2025, at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta.

This special Holy Week concert is being organised in collaboration with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Michael Laus. The evening will feature soloists Nicola Said, Graziella Debattista, Alan Sciberras, and Noel Galea, alongside the Coro Kemonia choir, directed by Salvatore Scinaldi.

Mozart’s Requiem is one of the most profound and beloved works in classical music. Written shortly before the composer’s death, it is a masterpiece of haunting beauty, reflecting on themes of loss, redemption, and hope – making it especially fitting for Holy Week. This concert offers a moment of reflection, unity and shared appreciation for music’s timeless power.

Liana DeBattista, Chief Strategy Officer at APS Bank, commented: “Mozart’s Requiem moves listeners, uniting them through shared emotion and reflection. In times of turmoil and conflict across the world, music remains a powerful force for peace, healing, and solidarity. Supporting events like this reaffirms our commitment to culture, learning, and community values. This concert upholds the Bank’s long-standing tradition of supporting music and the arts, particularly during significant times such as Holy Week, when reflection and unity are especially meaningful.”
