APS Bank has partnered with HSF Health Plan (Malta) to offer additional health benefits to employees of organisations which are members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme. As part of this new arrangement, scheme members now receive a free annual dental check-up or eye test. This benefit supports early detection of health issues and helps reduce personal healthcare costs.
The APS Occupational Pension Scheme is a second pillar retirement plan that employers can set up for their staff. It aims to provide practical, long-term support for employees’ wellbeing. These health checks are available at no extra cost, alongside the scheme’s core pension benefits. APS Bank employees who are members of the scheme also benefit from this new offer.
Mark Lamb, Corporate Schemes Manager at APS Bank, said: “We are proud to be collaborating with HSF as our partner, providing all members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme with free access to an annual eye test or dental check-up. Around half of sight loss within the population is avoidable through early detection, while the perceived cost of visiting a dentist is surely one of the reasons why people are putting this off. Employers who set-up an APS Occupational Pension Holders Scheme for their staff are truly investing in their future.”
HSF Health Plan (Malta) offers affordable health cash plans for employees and individuals across the country. It is part of the wider HSF Health Plan group, which has a long history of supporting health and wellbeing initiatives through its parent charity, the Hospital Saturday Fund.
This partnership is another example of how APS Bank continues to support its people and the wider community through meaningful, sustainable actions.
