APS Bank recently invited colleagues to the first event of a series titled #APSlife Connect. This special event took place at Attard branch, to showcase its deep-rooted connection with the local community. This initiative provided colleagues with a unique opportunity to learn about the branch’s roots and how it forged strong customer relationships.

The event featured a presentation delivered by James Flores, Attard’s Branch Manager, who shared insights into the branch’s daily work, milestones, and its rich history. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the recently refurbished premises and meet the team over refreshments.

Attard branch first opened in 1995 near the Pitkalija farmers’ market in Ta’ Qali. Initially a small operation focusing on cash transactions and account openings, it played a crucial role in serving local farmers and hawkers, many of whom knew the branch staff by name.

Over the years, the branch grew alongside the community, moving to larger premises in 2014. Today, it offers a full range of banking services, including home loans, investments, and financial planning.

Susan Vella, APS Bank’s Corporate Culture Change Manager, said: “At APS Bank, we believe that genuine connection is the catalyst for meaningful collaboration. When colleagues come together to share insights, experiences, and our shared heritage – much like the deep-rooted ties witnessed at our Attard branch – we foster a culture that unites us and fuels growth.”
