APS Bank holds a workplace bullying awareness workshop

In December 2024, APS Bank held a comprehensive Workplace Bullying Awareness workshop delivered by bBrave, aimed at informing participants on the critical issues of bullying and its impact on individuals and communities.

bBrave is the first anti-bullying NGO in Malta with a mission to raise awareness on different forms of bullying, to facilitate assistance for individuals suffering from bullying and for the reform of individuals displaying bullying behaviour in Malta.

The workshop addressed different forms of bullying in the workplace, including psychological, emotional, verbal and exclusion. bBrave presented information on how to recognise, address and mitigate bullying and the significant consequences of this behaviour. Internal and external sources of support were shared along with the key findings of a study on bullying and ostracism at the workplace in Malta, which formed part of a project co-funded by the EU’s European Social Fund (80%) and by the local NGO Co-Financing Fund (15%).

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a renewed commitment to fostering a safer and more inclusive environment.

Peter Gatt, Senior Employer Branding Manager, commented: “APS Bank is dedicated to promoting awareness on bullying and harassment and has a Zero-tolerance Policy to ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive and healthy work environment.”
