APS Bank colleagues have been sharing their expertise at major local events, covering key topics such as pension plans, ESG, and cybersecurity resilience. Here are some highlights from their speaking engagements in February and March 2025:

Kenneth Genovese, Head of Investment Distribution, and Darran Agius, Private Clients Relationship Manager, took part in a roundtable discussion at Parliament in February 2025 during Social Justice Week. They addressed the sustainability of pensions in Malta, the risks of pension poverty, and the challenge of pension inequity. In March, Darran also joined a panel discussion at the Payroll Summit, organised by HR Buddy, where he spoke on Workplace Pensions: How Employers Can Comply with the Latest Legislation and What’s Coming Next.

David Lanzon, Senior Portfolio Manager at ReAPS Asset Management, participated in the Governance, Risk, Compliance, and ESG Conference 2025, organised by the Malta Stock Exchange. As part of a moderated session on the Future of Sustainable Finance, David discussed how ReAPS integrates ESG factors into its investment process, addresses challenges, incorporates customer feedback, and navigates the growing debate around ESG principles.

Nicholas Aquilina, IT Risk and Control Manager, delivered a presentation at the CYBER Breakfast, organised by the National Cybersecurity Community. In his session, Navigating the Cybersecurity Landscape: A Framework for Risk and Resilience, Nicholas explored how businesses can safeguard their assets, maintain operational continuity, and strengthen resilience against cyber threats. He highlighted how structured frameworks help organisations identify and manage risks, enhance security, and ensure long-term business continuity. The session also emphasised the shift from viewing cybersecurity as a reactive necessity to embracing it as a proactive enabler of growth and innovation

Elaine Calleja, Head of Career Development at APS Bank, commented: “We are proud to see our colleagues actively contributing to important industry discussions. Their insights not only showcase their expertise but also reinforce APS Bank’s commitment to innovation, best practices, and shaping the future of the financial sector.”
