APS Bank recently hosted a series of fun, hands-on workshops to help secondary school students build smart money habits. The sessions were part of the Be Wise, Pay Smart initiative, organised by the Malta Bankers’ Association and the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation during this year’s European Money Week.

Held at APS Bank’s Head Office in Swatar, the workshops welcomed students from five local schools. The sessions covered how to choose different payment methods, stay safe while spending, and manage money confidently. Students also took part in a live ATM demo, learning how to use its features safely and responsibly.

Scott Lee Holloway, Head of Customer Experience at APS Bank and one of the main facilitators, said: “We want to equip the next generation with practical tools to manage their finances wisely. These sessions are about more than just money – they’re about empowering confidence, encouraging thoughtful habits, and helping students realise the power they hold in their everyday spending decisions.”

Students gave great feedback, saying they enjoyed the relaxed setting and found the tips useful in real life.

These workshops are part of APS Bank’s wider effort to support financial education and encourage lifelong learning.
