The first APS Bank Easter Concert was held recently with the participation of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), conducted by Mro Michael Laus. The concert consisted of choral and instrumental music in the spectacular setting of St John’s Co-Cathedral. The programme featured an arrangement for strings of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria for orchestra, the Goldberg Ensemble choir and soloists tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens, baritone James Agius and bass Noel Galea.
Rachael Blackburn, Head of Culture at APS Bank commented, “We are immensely proud to have collaborated with the MPO for this celebratory concert. Holy Week and Easter are a special period on our calendar, and we look forward to make this concert an annual event.”
