“Making a difference in our community” is the main reflection from APS Bank’s recently launched Christmas video. It depicts how Christmas is not necessarily a merry season for all, as seen through the eyes of people experiencing the challenges of homelessness, domestic violence, mental health and migration. This video, which is being aired on national television and streamed on the Bank’s social media channels and office network throughout December, seeks to show how the festive season can be an occasion to bring people together, leaving no-one at the margins.
Rachael Blackburn, Head of Culture commented, “We wanted to celebrate how the values of inclusivity and authenticity can be cherished by the community to make Christmas a truly special season, as many people battle various struggles in life. As the community Bank, we wanted to create a strong message to raise awareness and encourage support in any way possible.”
As a sign of public solidarity for people experiencing domestic violence, the Bank has also lit the façade of the Head Office in Swatar purple.
