APS Bank proudly celebrated the winners of its 2024 Values Awards at the end-of-year Townhall. This year’s awards highlighted the redefined value-driven behaviours that continue to strengthen the Bank’s vibrant, purpose-driven culture.
The annual Values Awards provide an opportunity for employees to honour their colleagues who consistently demonstrate the behaviours which bring the values to life. From over 280 nominations, five outstanding employees were selected by an internal evaluation panel, to receive this year’s awards:
- Excellence Value Award: Andre Cassar, FCC Regulatory & AML Solutions Lead Manager, recognised for upholding the highest standards, turning challenges into opportunities, solving problems incrementally, and encouraging open communication and collaboration.
- Authenticity Value Award: Karl Farrugia, Senior Credit Operations Officer, honoured for demonstrating accountability, making community-oriented decisions, and cultivating genuine connections built on respect and shared purpose.
- Passion Value Award: Sinclair Cassar, Senior Branch Manager, celebrated for delivering with energy, representing the Bank with pride, and inspiring colleagues to find deeper meaning and purpose in their work.
- Inclusion Value Award: Geniev Callus, Retail Manager, acknowledged for championing diversity, embracing varied perspectives, and promoting inclusive practices that amplify underrepresented voices.
- Contemporary Value Award: Michael Tabone, Senior Portfolio Manager, was lauded for embracing change, anticipating stakeholder needs, and fostering a growth mindset with a focus on social and environmental sustainability.
Rachael Blackburn, Head of Culture, reflected on the significance of the awards: “Our corporate culture is the foundation of everything we do. By committing to live our values, we distinguish ourselves as members of the APS team. The award winners exemplify how each one of us contributes to shaping our unique, purpose-driven culture.”
