APS Bank to participate during MIA Biennial Conference on ESG and Sustainable Finance


Mr Victor E. Agius, Non-Executive Board Director at APS Bank plc, will form part of a panel discussion on ‘ESG, Sustainable Finance and Climate Risk - A local & International perspective', as part of the conference titled, "A new Mindset: Reduce. Reuse. Report" being organised by The Malta Institute of Accounts. Mr Agius is also Chair of the Bank's Credit Committee, Chair of the ESG Committee and member of the Risk Committee. His experience spans over 40 years, with a diverse career in international investment, banking and development project finance at the World Bank Group, the EBRD in London and the Council of Europe Development Bank in Paris.

The event will be held in person on 22nd September at the InterContinental Hotel, St. George's Bay. The conference will look into changing mindsets by putting sustainability at the core of every organisation.

The panel will be presented by Ullrich Hartmann from PwC Germany and moderated by Norbert Paul Vella from PwC Malta. The panel will be made up of Ullrich Hartmann, ICAEW's Richard Spencer, Dr Roberta Lepre from CORE Europe Direct Centre, HSBC's Jonathan Cassar, BOV's Kenneth Farrugia, Chamber of Commerce's Marisa Xuereb, together with APS Bank's Victor E. Agius.
