First virtual Townhall meeting for APS Bank

First virtual Townhall meeting for APS Bank

APS Bank's second Townhall for 2020 was held virtually, for the first time ever. Connecting 400+ staff members working at Head Office, Branches, offsite and from home, in the case of employees working remotely, was quite an experience. A professional studio was set up at Head Office from where the session was streamed.

CEO Marcel Cassar introduced the event speaking about the effect of the pandemic on the Bank while commending the dedication and engagement shown by all staff members. He also highlighted the Bank's deep commitment to supporting staff, their families as well as the full spectrum of clients experiencing these uncertain and anxious times.

A number of presentations then followed, ranging from a review of the half year results, an update on the latest Peakon staff survey, network transformation and facilities as well upcoming marketing and product campaigns. A video titled ‘Focus on our Heroes' was then streamed, thanking all staff members for keeping the operation going during the last months.

The Townhall came to a close with remarks by the Chairman, Frederick Mifsud Bonnici. He focused on the good performance as presented in the Interim Financial Results and emphasised the importance of delivering the best customer service at all times.
