The first APS Bank Townhall of the year was held in the ballroom of The Westin Dragonara Resort. Over 500 employees came together to socialise and to receive the latest updates.
CEO Marcel Cassar opened the event, followed by brief testimonials from colleagues who shared their different ethnic backgrounds, career paths and aspirations. The 2023 financial results, customer data statistics, and departmental achievements and challenges were then presented, as well as the latest employee engagement survey results.
The Townhall also included two panel sessions focusing on major project milestones, clearly demonstrating how success is accomplished through interdepartmental collaboration. Animated videos showcased the Bank’s Social and Sports Committee events, training initiatives, and how the Bank’s purpose is communicated through various programmes delivered by the Corporate Culture Change, CSR and Brand & Marketing Units. Long Service Awards were presented to 65 staff members marking career anniversaries ranging between five and thirty years of service with the Bank.
Asked to comment on the significance of the Townhalls, Cassar said: “My favourite response is that it is an occasion to communicate, appreciate and celebrate all those who make the wheels of APS Bank and Group turn, day in, day out.”
