APS Bank’s Support Unit has implemented an eco-friendly initiative by incorporating seven new Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points at its Head Office in Swatar. These charging stations are distributed on each level of the premises’ underground parking, complementing the four existing points. Customers can also make use of this facility through a dedicated charging point installed in the designated customer parking area.
The whole system is interlaced via an energy management software, ensuring the optimal utilisation of energy. It is designed to provide a seamless charging experience, while supporting the increased number of colleagues who drive an EV.
Charles Galea, Senior Projects, Facilities, Physical Security Manager at APS Bank, commented, “This initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to environmental responsibility by encouraging the use of Electrical or Plug-in Hybrid vehicles and promoting sustainable practices, for both our colleagues and customers. Moreover, we are actively exploring other areas to reduce the Bank’s carbon footprint, such as the integration of photovoltaic panels at our sites.”
