Antoine Camilleri (1922–2005), a revered Maltese artist and art teacher, left an indelible mark on the trajectory of Maltese modern and contemporary art. His work holds a distinctive and significant position in Maltese Contemporary Art, often drawing from personal events and life experiences.
This comprehensive volume examines Antoine Camilleri’s life and works, offering diverse perspectives that highlight his artistic methods and ideas. Edited by Dr Christian Attard, lecturer at the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta and the Malta School of Art, and researcher, it is an important addition to the corpus of works on Maltese 20th century art and a valuable resource for art enthusiasts and researchers.
