APS Bank’s staff members are regularly invited as speakers to share their professional expertise at local and international events. Here are some second quarter 2023 highlights:
- Marcel Cassar, CEO, delivered the opening address at the half-day workshop titled ‘Property Valuation: A Practical Approach’ in his capacity as Chair of the Malta Bankers Association (MBA), organised by the MBA, and Archi+, in collaboration with il-Kamra tal-Periti (KTP). He was also invited to the ‘The Malta Property Landscape – A True Picture’ event, organised by Grant Thornton where he contributed to the panel discussion ‘Financing the Future’. He also participated in a panel discussion at the ‘AML Compliance: Striking the Right Balance’ conference, organised by Shoulder.
- Giovanni Bartolotta, Chief Risk Officer, delivered a webinar ‘Another Banking Crisis?’ organised by the Malta Association of Credit Management (MACM).
- Jonathan Caruana, Chief Technology Officer, participated in a panel discussion during the conference, ‘From Chaos to Clarity: Breaking Down Silos in the Digital Era’, organised by KPMG.
- Graziella Bray, Company Secretary, participated in a panel discussion, ‘Key topics for issuers’ at the Ganado Advocates MAR Forum.
- Simon Micallef, Head of Customer Profiling, together with Marica Schembri, CPU Personal Onboarding Manager and Joel Falzon Debono, CPU Personal Onboarding Analyst, all from APS Bank plc., delivered a presentation to the Ukrainian Refugee Community on access to banking services organised by JA Malta.
- Kenneth Genovese, Head of Investment Distribution, delivered a presentation and participated in a panel discussion during the conference ‘Pensions: Current Legislature and Women in Today’s Reality’ organised by BPW Valletta Malta.
- Cynthia Borg, Head of Financial Crime Compliance & MLRO, participated in a panel discussion at the ICA Future of FinCrime & Compliance Conference, held in London.
- Matthew Swain, Senior ESG Manager, participated in a panel discussion about ‘The ABC’s of ESG’ during the MARE summit. He also delivered a presentation at the ‘E of ESG’ event organised by PKF Malta, where he also contributed to the panel discussion which followed.
- Scott Lee Holloway, Voice of the Customer Manager, was a judge at the European Customer Experience Awards (ECXA).
