The first Townhall of the year was held recently at the Dolmen Hotel. Well over 400 employees came together for some socialising and to receive the latest updates on progress in the Bank.
Marcel Cassar, CEO, opened the event and was followed by presentations about the 2022 financial results, statistics and trends in customer data, updates about the transformation programme, and products and propositions in the works. Other presentations included the results from the latest Employee Engagement Survey, a review of the Bank’s future of work and employer branding initiatives and the 7-Day Challenge, where staff are rewarded for improvement suggestions which can be implemented over seven working days.
Sixty staff members received Long Service Awards milestone anniversaries ranging between five and thirty years of service with the Bank. As has become customary at Townhalls, the trivia session saw the winners walking away with some lovely prizes.
Mr Cassar commented, “Such gatherings help employee engagement, engender trust amongst us and create a stronger sense of belonging. The agenda for our Townhalls is always drawn up around these three aspects, which is why they are not only successful but also fun events.”
