APS Bank plc supported the exhibition ‘But I see beauty’, held at San Anton Palace between 8 and 23 October, in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation (MCCFF). The exhibition explored how art can show beauty where it is least expected, and how artists can portray beauty in ugliness. The theme of the exhibition challenged the artists to create artworks which originated from an element of what could be considered as ‘ugly / unpleasant / unattractive’ to transform it into beauty.
Rachael Blackburn, Head of Culture at APS Bank commented, “It was an honour for us to support this carefully curated exhibition, featuring 35 artists, who generously donated their work to raise funds to provide critical help to those in need.”
