APS Bank recently brought colleagues together to explore and better understand generational differences in the workplace through the relaunch of its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Breakfast Series. The first session, titled “Bridging the Generational Gap”, was held on Wednesday, 26 March 2025, at its Head Office in Swatar, and online, welcoming colleagues from across the Bank.
The interactive session tackled common generational stereotypes, such as “They do their own thing,” “They are workaholics,” and “They are too sensitive,” encouraging open discussions and reflection on how these assumptions affect collaboration and communication at work.
The guest speaker for the session was Jean-Marc Cafà, an expert in adult learning and people growth, who has worked with international organisations and several local educational institutions. Colleagues engaged in a lively discussion, challenged common myths, and shared their own experiences in an open Q&A session, all while enjoying a relaxed breakfast setting.
Susan Vella, Corporate Culture Change Manager at APS Bank, said:
“Building an inclusive culture starts with understanding each other. This session gave us the space to reflect on the way different generations think and work. By breaking down stereotypes, we can create stronger teams and a more collaborative culture.”
The session marked the start of a series of events aimed at helping colleagues connect, grow, and work better together, reinforcing APS Bank’s commitment to foster an inclusive and dynamic culture.
