Between 9th and 13th May 2022, APS Bank lit up its Head Office façade in green, the colour associated with Mental Health Awareness, accompanied with a visual on the recently installed LED billboard. Employees were encouraged to wear something green during dress down day on Friday 13th May, to show their support for this initiative, while green apples were distributed to each branch and office within the Bank’s network.
As part of the Bank’s commitment to supporting employee wellbeing, an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available free-of-charge to all Bank employees. The EAP offers access to confidential counselling, psychotherapy, guidance, and support sessions to assist and resolve work, family, and personal issues, including services provided by the Richmond Foundation’s Healthy Minds Work programme.
Ray Bonnici, Chief People Officer commented, “Our holistic approach to employee welfare encompasses the physical, social, financial, spiritual as well as mental wellbeing. This month, we launched a series of initiatives, including Mental Health First Aid, bespoke training on Fostering Resilience and Self-Care Mechanisms, and Promoting Psychological Safety and Containment for the Senior Management team, complementing the programme for all line-managers on the Manager as a Coach.”
